Union taxi provides a variety of taxi services, including standard taxis ,family taxis ,ladies-only taxis ,airport taxis ,limousines. Taxi fares in sharjah are metered. The starting fare is aed 2 and the fare increases by aed 0.25 per kilometer. There is also an additional airport surcharge of aed 20 for all trips originating from the airport. Taxi fares in sharjah can be paid in cash or by credit card. Taxis can be hailed on the street, called in advance, or booked through the union taxi website or app. Union taxi is a franchisee of Sharjah transport corporation (srtc). It was established in 2005 and has a fleet of over 1,200 taxis. The company's headquarters are located in Sharjah, but it also has offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
