Tilal City Sewage Treatment Plant is located in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. It is a secondary treatment plant that treats wastewater from the Tilal City area. The plant has a treatment capacity of 100,000 cubic meters per day. The plant uses a conventional activated sludge process to treat wastewater. The wastewater is first screened to remove large solids. It is then pumped to a grit chamber to remove sand and grit. The wastewater then flows to an aeration tank where it is mixed with air and bacteria. The bacteria break down the organic matter in the wastewater. The treated wastewater is then discharged to a clarifier where it is allowed to settle. The clarified wastewater is then discharged to the Arabian Gulf. The Tilal City Sewage Treatment Plant is a vital part of the infrastructure in Sharjah. It helps to protect the environment by treating wastewater and preventing it from being discharged to the Arabian Gulf untreated. The plant is also helping to conserve water by recycling the treated wastewater for irrigation
