Psychological distress and mental suffering can present in many forms. These can include the loss of a loved one, suffering in a relationship or struggling with work-related stress. An individual may be suffering with depression, anxiety, eating disorder or another clinical presentation. One may feel aimless, as if having lost direction in life. Our mission here at the Psychiatry and Therapy Centre is to help individuals and their families through these difficult times. We are a group of dedicated professionals who each have more than ten years of training and experience in helping people with psychological distress and mental health issues. We provide a safe, confidential, non-judgemental setting in which to help explore issues and concerns. We will ensure that we deliver evidence-based treatments. Our Psychiatrists, Psychotherapists and Psychologists are predominantly UK, USA and European trained and have worked in the British National Health Service (NHS), one of the world’s largest and most effective healthcare organisations, or in equivalent European or American health services. Our team has a strong record of service in the voluntary sector and in private practice. The ambition is for the Psychiatry and Therapy Centre to become one of the cornerstones of the local mental health network. We will engage fully with the relevant regulators. We will work closely with fellow mental health professionals, clinics, hospitals, schools, universities, charities and support groups in order to promote the importance of mental health in the wider community and to ultimately support our service-users in the best possible way.
