The Hungry Monkey was originally the brainchild of two childhood friends. Both at pivotal points in their lives, with a dream and what seemed a wealth of experience in the industry they decided to take the leap. Flash forward seven years and they are now both the owners and operators of cafes in Kiama, Berry, Bowral and Thirroul + a Food Truck… with growing plans for the future. Established in Kiama in 2015 when burgers were bland, a time where the phrase was used to describe processed and passionless food. Here at The Hungry Monkey our licence to grill is much more poetic. We have proven that the secret to a good burger is more of an art form than anything else. We are dedicated to creating food that makes a statement.
