Sind Punjab Restaurant is a Punjabi-Indian Restaurant with authentic flavors of Punjab. It is located on 29 A St – Al Fahidi, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Established in July 1977, the restaurant has through four decades stood the test of time only to grow in strength. Guruwinder Singh said the restaurant first started in Bur Dubai. Later, in 1985, the restaurant opened another outlet in Karama and later in Dubai Internet City (DIC). This restaurant with around 100 staff serves 300 to 400 people every day. Several Bollywood stars have dined at our restaurant. When they are here in Dubai, they don’t miss a chance to visit our restaurant and partake in authentic Punjabi food. The late Raj Kapoor and his wife Krishna dined here at our restaurant. It was 1985 and there was a cricket match in Sharjah. Raj Kapoor and his wife Krishna were attending the tournament. Straight after the match, Raj Kapoor came to our restaurant with his wife for dinner. He ordered five plates of paani puri and had it all himself. He was having a bad cough, but he still enjoyed the paani puri. He also ordered Kulfi Falooda. It was like a celebration having him with us and it was such a pleasure serving him.” Other notable celebrities have also graced our restaurants like Shammi Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai, and Navjot Singh Sidhu. Not too many celebrities leave Dubai without making a visit to our restaurant.
