The Giant Group came into being with the establishment of its flagship company, Shankar Trading Company L.L.C in the food wholesale market of Al Ras in 1985.Since then the group has grown organically into a diversified business house under the banner of The Giant Group with interests in Wholesale, Distribution, Retail and Manufacturing of consumer goods. Mr. Shankar H. Lakhiani, Managing Partner, with a career spanning two continents and nearly five decades, has a vast experience in all aspects of trading, Wholesale, Distribution and Retail. He laid the foundations of the group in 1985 under the flagship company Shankar Trading Co. LLC.
