The Shah family began trading Kashmiri art almost 150 years ago, and the company is now in its fifth generation of business. To this day Pride of Kashmir continues to support the livelihood of local artisans by providing exposure and distribution for traditionally-produced Kashmiri goods. The company was established in the year 1980 and since then it has grown and diversified globally under sound leadership. Pride of Kashmir also holds the distinction of being the first and only enterprise in the field of handcrafted carpets and antiques that has been certified to the ISO 9001 standards by IMS Certification FZE.
