Prakash Trading Company, a family-owned business in the supply and distribution of electrical and lighting solutions, traces its history to the early 1960s in Dubai, then still a small trading outpost on the Gulf coast, part of the then Trucial States. The company’s journey began in 1962, with operations in the supply and distribution of electrical and lighting solutions from a single retail outlet in Al Sabkha, Deira – the then trading hub of Dubai – where importers, exporters, wholesalers, and retailers used to meet and carry out business transactions. It is one of the first business licenses to be granted by Dubai Municipality.
