Over the last two decades, Obaid has held various leadership roles in Dubai Islamic Bank in addition to contributing responsibilities at the Board level in various local and international subsidiaries of the Bank. His core competencies lie in process improvement & re-engineering, change management, service excellence, Operational control, strategic cost Optimization, human capital management, automation, digitalization, and infrastructure management. His biggest strength is however, providing leadership where he brings diverse teams together, builds motivation, and drives everyone toward achieving organizational goals. He believes in creating synergies, putting governance in place, and ensure delivery on his promises. He is also known for driving quality, increasing productivity, negotiating, implementing cost-effective systems, and eliciting cooperation from stakeholders in managing the support and control functions of the Bank.
