About Nakkash

Nakkash is an interior architect on a truly international scale. He began his education at the Beaux Arts in Beirut, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture. He continued his studies in Florence graduating with a Master’s Degree in Interior Design. Wajih spent several years in Italy perfecting his trade before moving to Dubai in 1980 to establish his own interior design firm. In 1983, Wajih opened NAKKASH Gallery to showcase distinctive lines of furniture, artwork and accessories. “I try to create a relaxing and comfortable space that has an element of elegance. I refuse to be defined by one particular style as I use a mixture of both classical and modern.” An experienced designer and avid art collector, Wajih is adept at mixing style. “I like to combine and blend, antique furniture with modern fabrics.
