K. Lynn, the brand, begins with a love story when Lebanese student Sami Karam met American student Kay Lyn at the University of Texas in the late 1970s. Once married and settled in Lebanon together Kay Lyn made frequent return trips to the United States. On one such trip, Sami asked her to attend a local exhibition center to buy a few products in the hope of making a profit in Lebanon. The center just happened to have a lingerie and sleepwear fair on at the time. On her return, every item sold out in a few days and the Karams were soon planning another buying trip for merchandise that would come to stock their new store, K. Lynn.
