About Dubai Performing Arts

At DBSJP we are proud of our exclusive partnership with the Dubai Performing Arts Academy, run by industry professionals Lisa Scott-Lee from British Pop Group STEPS and Johnny Shentall-Lee, West End Star and Choreographer. This partnership has enabled us to offer one of the first BTECs in Performing Arts in Dubai. We also offer an extensive performing arts programme within the DBSJP curriculum, providing students with opportunities to develop, enhance and showcase their skills. This course is one of the first in the region, run by industry professionals and supported by the talented DPA teaching staff who have taught at all the top UK Performing Arts colleges including ArtsEd, Guildford School of Acting, PPA Academy, Performers, Masters and Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts. The course has been designed to develop and nurture ‘Triple Threat’ performers who are confident in all three disciplines of performing which include singing, acting and dance. The course is supported by first-class facilities including a 500-seat theatre, four dance studios, a recording suite, a radio studio and a purpose-built Sixth Form Centre.
