She is a qualified surgeon who has done her Masters in General Surgery from Mumbai, India and super-specialised in Gastrointestinal Surgery, from Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute, Lucknow, India. She holds a certification from the Royal College of Surgeon of Edinburgh and is recognized and felicitated by the American College of Surgeons. She is also a certified Colorectal Surgeon with added accomplishments from the New York Presbyterian Hospital and Weil Cornel Medical College, USA and the Institute of Laparoscopic Surgery, Bordeaux, France. Awarded the “Young Surgeon of the Year” Award at the Arab Health Conference, UAE, 2012. She has excelled and been a prominent figure in the surgical diaspora of UAE.
