About Dr Rakesh Rai

Dr. Rakesh Rai is an HPB (hepato-pancreato-biliary) and transplant (liver, kidney, and pancreas) surgeon based at King’s College Hospital in Dubai. Dr. Rai has trained extensively in some of the best medical centers in the world. After completing his General surgical residency at King Edward Memorial Hospital in Mumbai India, he went to the UK for higher surgical training. In the UK, Dr. Rai carried out basic research on radiofrequency ablation of liver tumours leading to the award of MD by the University of Newcastle. He underwent specialist registrar training for 6 years where he gained experience in vascular surgery, HPB surgery, and transplant surgery.
