Dr. Gopal Chawla is a Specialist Pulmonologist with over 8 years of experience in Respiratory/ Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. He completed his MBBS from Coimbatore Medical College, Tamil Nadu, India in 2008 and MD in Pulmonary Medicine from GMC, Patiala, Punjab, India in 2014. In 2015 he completed his DNB (Respiratory Medicine) followed by IDCCM and EDRM from Spain. In 2020, he completed his DM in Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine from AIIMS, Jodhpur, India. He started his career as a Registrar in Critical Care Medicine at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, Delhi, India in July 2014. Later he worked with AIIMS, New Delhi, as a Senior Resident (Pulmonology) and with AIIMS Jodhpur as DM Fellow. He also worked as a Consultant, Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine at Metro Multi-Specialty Hospital, Noida, India, before joining Tawam Hospital, Abu Dhabi as a Specialist in Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine. Before joining NMC, Dr. Gopal worked as a Senior Consultant at Kalra Hospital, New Delhi. Dr. Gopal’s clinical practice comprises a mix of Interventional Pulmonology, General Pulmonology, Sleep Medicine, and Critical Care, focusing on Interventional Pulmonology. He is well-versed in sleep-disordered breathing, has successfully run a Level 1 Polysomnography lab, and is BLS and ACLS certified. He is a passionate teacher and ardent researcher with more than 40 publications in peer-reviewed national and international journals. In addition, he was a trainer for Fellows of Interventional Pulmonology and Critical care.
