About Dr. Anitha Mathews

Dr Anitha Mathews is a specialist Ophthalmologist in Dubai, who provides treatment for various eye diseases and also performs minor surgery for people to help them see clearly. She has always been passionate about helping people and making their lives better, so she undertook medical training to become an ophthalmologist. The goal of Dr. Anitha Mathews is to reach out to as many patients as possible and provide them with the best possible care. Education: Dr. Anitha graduated from Trichur Medical College, Kerala, India in 1989. She completed her postgraduate studies in M.S. Ophthalmology and her diploma in ophthalmology from Calicut Medical College, Kerala. Recently she successfully completed a Glaucoma fellowship at the prestigious LV Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad. Prior to joining JTS Medical Centre, she has over 20 years of experience as an Ophthalmologist in UAE and India (at NAPC and at Vasan Eye Hospital Thrissur). Dr. Anitha Mathews has also worked as a lecturer at Trichur Medical College. Her expertise includes diagnosis and management of common ophthalmic conditions, diabetic retinopathy screening, diagnosis and management of glaucoma, and minor ophthalmic surgical procedures.
