About Diplomat Hotel

The hotel was managed by Antonio Agapito Tony Agpaoa, a Baguio-based entrepreneur and faith healer famous for psychic surgery. Agpaoa suffered a heart attack and was diagnosed with brain hemorrhage in the 1980s. He died in 1987 of the ailments. Since his death, the hotel ceased operations and was abandoned.The Diplomat Hotel was built on top of the Dominican Hill. It was originally called the Dominican Hill and Retreat House because it was constructed to serve as a vacation house for the Dominican Order. In the 1970s, the wartorn building was converted to the sophisticated and beautiful Diplomat Hotel, but the hotel was shut down by the '80s, and left abandoned.Diplomat Hotel Baguio is undeniably known as one of the most haunted places not just in Baguio City but in the entire Philippine.
