Found on the west side of Palm Jumeirah, Barrel 12 is a cavernous, lively, industrial sports bar – and the food items populating menu are sufficiently representative of that. You’ll find yourself torn between hot dogs, sliders, a ploughman’s sandwich, pies, burgers, curries and a whole bunch more. In essence, classic, quintessential pub grub. There’s a dedicated section of the menu for veggies and vegans, though, which is a nice touch and suitably in keeping with the city’s growing number of vegan-friendly outlets. From said menu, the avocado quinoa does exactly what it says on the tin – it’s quinoa and avocado, with a bit of seasoning. The absence of additional ingredients to liven things up make this dish somewhat dense and monotonous.
