Aubade: a poem or piece of music appropriate to the dawn or early morning. Derived from the French word 'aube', meaning 'dawn'. When Duha AlRamadhan couldn't find her favorite independent jewelry brands in Kuwait, she decided to turn her eye for style and passion for jewelry into a business. She founded Aubade in 2013, and in the intervening years the original store in Kuwait City has become a destination for design-led contemporary jewelry, for clients from around the region. Run by an all-female team, the brand now showcases a thoughtful curation of independent and emerging jewelry designers, and has established itself as a trusted purveyor of hand-picked fine jewelry from around the world. With jewels crafted in studios and workshops from the US to India, via France and Italy, the designers on the books represent the vanguard of the contemporary jewelry scene. At the heart of the Aubade approach, is openness. It's about getting to know clients, nurturing relationships with newly discovered designers, and connecting the dots to introduce beautiful pieces to their new owners. Because finding the right jewel represents the start of something meaningful. In other words, it's a new dawn.
