About Al Maktoum Foundation

The Al Maktoum Foundation is a charitable organization based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It was established in 1997 under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance. The foundation is named after Sheikh Hamdan's father, Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the former ruler of Dubai. The primary objective of the Al Maktoum Foundation is to contribute to sustainable development and improve the lives of people in need, both locally and internationally. It focuses on various areas, including education, healthcare, social welfare, and infrastructure development.
