Al Adil Trading Co LLC, founded in 1984 as a small Indian grocery store in Bur Dubai, has since grown into a large spice empire, serving the GCC and beyond with a network of 50 stores. The company, which began with three employees, now employs 1,500 individuals directly and around 375 indirectly in the UAE and India. It is now a familiar name in every Indian household in the UAE, providing over 8500 food items including masalas, spices, pickles, flours, and pulses, under the Peacock brand name. The company caters to a variety of customers, from households to five-star hotels, catering companies, and hospitals.
